An apartments complex open Thursday with affordable Nevada rentals for low income seniors.
The modern, 80-unit, three-story building has high ceilings, bright colors and appliances such as microwave and a washer and dryer when residents move in. The complex features a computer room, lounge, and fitness room.
“Just because you have affordable housing doesn’t mean it has to look like affordable housing,” said Winston Henderson, the complex’s architect.
Requirements for these Nevada rentals are that residents must be older than 55 and have a household income restricted to 60 percent of the area median income according to the folks at https://www.lvrj.com/view/henderson-housing-development-offers-affordable-apartments-to-low-income-seniors-131499688.html?ref=688.
